Alcohol on the Course
The club & course are licensed this means that NO ALCHOHOL IS TO BE BOUGHT ON COURSE! You & the club can be fined, if caught your alcohol maybe confiscated & you may be refused entry to the course. The club is endeavouring to make it more easily to make purchases outside of bar opening hours.
BOTTLED BEER: Due to breakages & legislation the club will be only supplying can beer for course consumption (no other golf course allows bottles on course). Please do not harass the bar staff if you don’t agree.
RESPONSIBLE SERVICE: It is the right of the bar staff to refuse you service if they believe you may be intoxicated, please drink responsibly!

Junior & Student Entry Requirements
Between 16 and 18 years of age:
– Driver’s Licence or
– Passport or
– Proof of Age Card or
– Secondary student ID card.
Under 16 years of age:
– If under 16, they cannot have a base pass and will need to be signed in and escorted by his parent or legal guardian.
The parent or guardian is eligible to apply for a base pass and must escort them while they are on the Defence establishment.
They will still be required to produce ID to the guards, such as a birth certificate / extract.

Storage & Charging of Lithium Battery Devices
Please note the following important message
Storage and Charging of lithium Iron Battery Powered Golf Carts, Buggies, Scooters, or Come Alongs’ at the Borneo Barracks Golf Club
The National Golf Club of Australia has banned the charging of EVs and golf buggies at its facilities after a fire destroyed the Eastern Golf Club in the Yarra Valley late 2023. This was the third fire to occur at an Australian golf course within the last two years.
The fire was blamed on lithium ion batteries stored for recharging golf buggies.
The Storage and Charging of any lithium powered golf vehicle, or golf accessory is also banned at the Borneo Barracks Golf Club.
Lithium ion powered vehicles and golf equipment maybe be used at the Club by members playing golf, however the vehicles or golfing accessories are not too approach within 10 m of the clubhouse at any time.
